How did we get here again?

Who would’ve thought that all we needed to find love was a global pandemic. To the risk of sounding cliché, after matching on Tinder and our first meeting 45 minutes before our reservation time at Lonestar managed to put the spark in our relationship. So, hold on tight… STORY TIME.

-       February 21, 2021: Our official first date. We both show up 45 minutes early and decide to stay in our cars to not have to be the first one to tell the other that we’re here 45 minutes early.

-       March 3, 2021: After our 3rd (or 4th not sure at this point) date, Sabine’s sister forces her to inquire as to the status of our relationship.

-       March 3, 2022: 1 year of a relationship in a pandemic means that not much happened. We decide to rent a small condo in St-Sauveur. Even though the vacation is a success, Jean-Simon manages to forget the 1-year anniversary gift for Sabine.

-       January 1, 2023: It’s our first trip taking the plane together. Destination Cuba. Funny anecdote, Sabine loses her fight against a jellyfish. Jellyfish 1 : Sabine 0.

-       February 14, 2023: First valentine’s day, where we are both off work and school. We treat ourselves to a 4-0 victory in favor of the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Center.

-       July 2023: First time for JS in Gaspésie. 12 hours in a car helps to determine if you can endure your partner in a cramped space.

-       August 4, 2023: We finally move in together.

The Proposal

October 27, 2023: Our engagement happens with a BANG! In a small cottage in St-Côme (Middle of nowhere seriously… Google it) I enrolled Sabine’s friends help so everything is perfect. A very nice evening we’ll always remember.
